King Ping's history

Since its establishment in 1978, King Ping has been fully dedicated, based on credence, to the tea industry in Taiwan by creating new trend and blending the modern with the tradition.

Along with the Taiwan' s booming tourism, King Ping made its Dongding Oolong Tea available in the renowned tea stores, namely Dong-le, Yung-le, Han-sheng and Chang-long among others, where Dongding Oolong Tea were marketed as an item representing Taiwan.

King Ping then became widely appraised as the No. 1 tea supplier in Taiwan. Following the opening of its duty-free shops at the Taoyuan International Airport and the Xiaogang International Airport in Kaohsiung.

King Ping was allowed in as the only Tea provider in DFS, the international duty-free stores that began its operation.

It was granted the Premium Gold award in the Taipei International   Food Fair.

King Ping launched its revolutionary gift box containing tealeaves of different classes, assuring fair trade of the item and access to tea of stable quality by consumers at reasonable prices. The much-appraised move earned support of consumers and furthered secured the leader status of King Ping in the market. 1993 became the year of booming sale of tea in the major outlets all over Taiwan.

King Ping received the Premium Gold Award

followed by 2 consecutive wins in 1993 and 1994 that further secured its name that is widely appraised and celebrated.

King Ping's belief in quality made the launch of thevacuumed packaging to preserve the flavor of the tea, an attempt that was appraised by the consumers.  In the same year, King Ping introduced the new idea of[7-11 Tea House] in Taiwan, where 7-11 stores began offering its own canned tea and gift box, a revolutionary attempt in marketing tea in Taiwan.

To meet the demand of its customers, the business opened a plant in Hukou, Xinju with full equipment

King Ping released the canned tea paired with a gift box exclusive for Costco, a step that helped Costcoachieved great revenues. Together with Carrefour, the company launched the brand known as Tea For Connoisseur. 

The first Tea Cafe in Taiwan was opened in Tienmu, Taipei, which is a modern, healthy yet fashionable space for tea lovers.  It allows us to interact with the general public directly, and change people's conventional perception on tea. 

The relationship between tea and the public is translated from a new perspective, where people are allowed to explore tea freely.  We are sure that tea will become the most popular beverage in this new century. 

King Ping began offering its products to Japan.
Under the name of Leader Price and supported by its expertise, King Ping launches Sung-hao Tea at Geant.

King Ping items were available at Seibu, Sogo and Takashimaya Department Stores in Japan.

working with RT Mart, King Ping launches the Thumb brand.
